Roulettes outside bets
The game of roulette has two different sets of bets known as inside
bets and outside bets. Outside bets have normally have smaller payouts
with better odds of winning; whereas, inside bets have larger payouts
with poorer odds of winning. There are six different outside bets and
six different inside bets. The six outside bets are 1 to 18, 19 to 36,
red or black, even or odd, dozen bets, and column bets. All bets are
placed on the layout which is the board that shows all of the numbers
and the corresponding bets with each different spot on the layout.
The 1 to 18 bet is a bet on the first row of 18 numbers coming up on the
resulting spin. Similarly, the 19 to 36 bet is a bet on the last 18
numbers coming up on the resulting spin. The red or black bet is
self-explanatory and is a bet on which color the pocket will be on the
spin. Bets of even are odd are whether the pocket will be an even number
or an odd number of the following spin. There are three dozen bets
corresponding with the three different sets of 12 making up 36. The
first 12 consisting of 1 to 12, the second twelve consisting of 13 to 24
and the third 12 consisting of 25 to 36. Finally, there are column bets
witch bet on the 12 numbers that correspond with each of the three
different columns on the table’s layout.
